COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Reconciliation Act) is a Federal law which mandates that most employer sponsored group medical, dental, vision and healthcare flexible spending plans offer insured employees (and their covered dependents) the opportunity for a temporary continuation of coverage at group rates, in cases where plan coverage would otherwise end (such as termination of employment).

In order to ensure COBRA compliance for all clients, Lassiter-Ware provides the following COBRA-related services:

• Collection of premium, including verification that payments are made accurately and are received within Federally-mandated payment timelines.
  
  
• Reinstatement of participant benefit coverage and subsequent forwarding of premium to client.
  
  
• Termination of COBRA continuation upon non-receipt of premium payment within federally-mandated guidelines.
  
  
• Transition of COBRA participants into individual coverage when applicable, providing notification of conversion rights.
  
•  Administration of all COBRA-related customer service functions.
  
  
• Creation and distribution of monthly COBRA reports.
  
• Issuance of Certificates of Credible Coverage upon COBRA termination. (for self-insured plans)
