In 1989, Kristen founded the LassiterWare’s Employee Benefits Division and quickly rose to an Executive Vice President status. Currently, she has held and maintained one of the largest portfolios within the agency for over 15 years and represents the Employee Benefits Department on LassiterWare’s Executive Council.
Kristen graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science in 1980, and began her insurance career in 1984. She currently maintains her Florida Health, Life, and Variable Annuity License as well as a Florida Property and Casualty License. Kristen obtained her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1992 and her Group Insurance Specialist Designation (CEBS) in 2001. Kristen specializes in working with large institutions and organizations, both insured and self-funded.
Kristen presently holds active membership status with the National Association of Health Underwriters and the International Foundation of Employee Benefits. She is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management and serves as the Lake Sumter SHRM (LSSHRM) Chapter Legislative Co-Chair.
Her involvement in the community is very important to her as she previously served as the Board President for Central Florida Cares Health System (CFCHS) and is a founding board member. The initiatives of this foundation and its’ leaders, like Kristen, have led to increased behavioral health programs such as substance abuse, in-home mental health and pregnancy/post-partum women services.
Outside of LassiterWare, Kristen enjoys going out on the boat, fishing and spending time with friends and family.
